I came across a penny today
Laying on the ground,
But it's not 'just' a penny
This little coin I found.
You see Angela -
Pennies come from heaven
That's what my Mum told to me.
She said,"It's the angels; they toss them down"
Oh, how I used to love her relaying this story.
She said; "When an Angel misses you
They'll toss a penny down,
Sometimes it may be to cheer you up
To make a smile out of your frown".
So, don't pass by that 'next' penny
Particuarly if you're feeling blue,
It may be a penny from Heaven
That your David has tossed down just for you. xx
